The West Yellowstone cowboy country, where Montana, Wyoming and Idaho merge together, is among the most famous trout fishing destinations in all of the continental United States. Its prolific insect hatches, pristine flowing waters and large, wild rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout make it a tremendous fishery that must be experienced by every dedicated fisherman. Add comfortable log cabin accommodations, fine western dining and the best guides in the area, and all you’ll need is a cowboy hat for the cool autumn air.
